Opal RT for beginners

Time: -

Presenter: George "Rusty" Nail, Graduate Research Assistant at NMSU

Things we’ll cover in this webinar:

  • How to use MATLAB Simulink Simscape Blocks to build a 2-Node system
  • Building more complex electrical systesms in MATLAB Simulink
  • Debugging MATLAB Simulink and common compilation Issues
  • An overview of OPAL-RT and RT-LAB as it pertains to Simulink and how to make your Simulink system “OPAL Friendly”
  • Compiling and Debugging RT-LAB for your Simulink Model
  • Delving more into how to use variables from MATLAB script to Simulink
  • Utilizing more complex Simulink Blocks, i.e. synchronous machines, variables loads
  • Interacting with your model in real time, while it runs with OPAL-RT
