What is the goal? To provide opportunities for non-tenured investigators to develop their individual research potential through extended collaborative visits to the Nation’s premier private, governmental, or academic research centers. Investigators from research universities and primarily undergraduate institutions in EPSCoR states (including NM) are eligible to apply.  
We are excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Ganesh Balakrishnan, as the new Director of NM EPSCoR, effective March 1. Ganesh Balakrishnan succeeds Dr. Bill Michener, who will retire this year and has served in the role since 2007.

Students from UNM, NMT, and NMSU main campus are not eligible.

This year’s Research Symposium was held virtually from November 8 to 12, 2021. The program was topical and hosted a variety of speakers, posters, and awards honoring science, STEM, and research contributions in New Mexico through a space lens.
