Description: Join us to learn about an AI-driven framework that transforms research documents into structured, searchable knowledge to strengthen discovery and collaboration. Developed at NMT under the NSF RIO-NM project, the system addresses a persistent challenge in research ecosystems—the manual, time-intensive process of identifying related work and potential collaborators across institutions.
At the institutional level, researchers can upload PDF publications into a centralized system where documents are processed and indexed. Through an intuitive AI interface, users can then identify relevant research, discover collaborators, and explore emerging connections. This capability directly supports proposal development, accelerates team formation, and increases overall research productivity. Institutional datasets can also be exported to a statewide platform, enabling broader collaboration and visibility across New Mexico.
This presentation targets research leadership across New Mexico institutions to support adoption and integration within our research ecosystem as a means to increase research collaboration, funding, and productivity.
