NSF and NASA EPSCoR Research Fellowships: What You Need to Know

What is the goal?

To provide opportunities for non-tenured investigators to develop their individual research potential through extended collaborative visits to the Nation’s premier private, governmental, or academic research centers. Investigators from research universities and primarily undergraduate institutions in EPSCoR states (including NM) are eligible to apply.
 

What’s new in 2022?

RII Track-4: NSF

RII Track-4:FAST

  • Only single-PI proposals will be considered
  • Trainees must be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled full-time in an accredited degree program

  • Up to 6 months of salary support for PI and one trainee-level participant

  • Includes up to $10K (total) for fees, supplies, equipment, publication costs, etc
  • Includes up to $5K (total) for other research related travel
   
  • Additional $60K RID grant from NASA for research infrastructure at home institution
