Congresswoman Pelosi Visits Santa Fe Community College

By Natalie Willoughby

As part of an initiative to shine a light on the benefits of community college education, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Representative Ben Ray Luján toured Santa Fe Community College (SFCC) and it's new Trades and Advanced Technology Center. NM EPSCoR's own Mary Jo Daniel was present, and Luke Spangenburg, co-investigator on a recent NM EPSCoR Diversity Innovation Working Group and professor at SFCC, gave Pelosi and Luján a tour of the college's sustainability research including the EPSCoR-funded bioalgal research equipment.

You can read more about Congresswoman Pelosi's visit at the Albuquerque Journal online, and Rep. Luján posted pictures of the event on his Facebook page.
