Creative Startups Expands to Kuwait!

By Natalie Rogers

Creative Startups, the NM EPSCoR-sponsored accelerator for creative entrepreneurs, is making headlines again! This time, the program was featured in the Albuquerque Journal for its expansion overseas to Kuwait as the country's first business accelerator. This is the program's first expansion to the Middle East following a successful expansion from its humble beginnings in Albuquerque to North Carolina, Maryland, and Portugal last year. From the Journal:

“It’s an opportunity to put New Mexico on the map with a stake in the ground that says we are global leaders in the creative economy,” [program founder Alice] Loy said. “Our startups also need access to growing markets, and Kuwait is a huge oil state with a burgeoning middle class. We’re building trusted relationships that can help New Mexico companies crack open opportunities here.”
